Q. "Are card boxes at the reception tacky? My mom is very against the concept. Please help!" —Crystal
A. Though I prefer to have guests send their gifts in advance or after the couple returns from their honeymoon, some will choose to give you money as a wedding present, and many of them will bring it to you in a card on your big day. Placing a tasteful, coordinating cardholder in a discreet location is a good way for your guests to know where to put their gifts. And besides, it’s better than having a big pile of cards on your cake table or, even worse, to misplace some during the night.

What’s the Ideal Engagement Length?
How long do you have from the moment he puts the ring on your finger to the moment you walk down the aisle? A standard engagement used to be (hold your breath on this one) two years. That's not happening anymore. Not to be a downer, but some people are only staying married for two years.
One year also used to be a standard engagement length. Well, that’s not happening anymore, either. Now, more and more couples are setting the date for nine months after the proposal. It's doable, but you have to be prepared, you have to be organized and you have to be very willing to make decisions quickly — and not change your mind.

When Does the Veil Come Off?
One of the most common questions I'm asked is, “Should I wear a veil at my wedding?” With a small amount of hesitation, the answer is yes. How many times are you going to walk down the aisle wearing a wedding gown? Hopefully once, but maybe twice or three times; either way, you’re walking down the aisle, and you should be wearing a veil.

Get a sneak peek at David Tutera's shoe line, launching in January!
I'm so excited about my bridal shoe line launching in January! There are three components that determine the success of a shoe: Comfort, design, and the dreaded height of the heel. It always amazes me to see how a bride's posture and presence change when she's walking in heels (assuming she's comfortable walking in that shoe, of course!). It affects the upper body and makes her look more regal. She appears more confident simply by putting on the right pair of shoes. © Copyright 2015 - 2017 McCloud9 Enterprises, LLC | Home | Contact   |Code of Ethics | Terms of Service | Terms and Conditions | Privacy Policy Wordpress balloons powered by nksnow |
